At first glance, biblical Christianity may appear opposed to the concept of otherkin on many fronts. These include the existence or even non-existence of certain beings and the fate of souls. However there are aspects intrinsic to Biblical Christianity that can possibly allow for a wide variety of spiritual kin-types, others are simply not addressed. These concepts include traducianism the nephilim, and what exactly defines "man." In regards to the nephilim, this article accepts the interpretation of the divine mingling with the human rather than the Sethite interpretation.

The explicit trouble with Christian belief concerning reincarnation, hinges on a couple of verses, one is in Ecclesiastes and the other is In Hebrews. So there is pan testament coherence.
Ecclesiastes 9:55 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Out of the gate this verse seems to strike a blow to reincarnation. Problems with this verse can arise concerning the statement that the dead have no more reward. If it is taken to say that the dead simply have no reward, that conflicts with other biblical ideas concerning the afterlife. If it is taking that the dead can no longer accrue reward through actions in life, then there is no conflict.

The other problem is the notion that the dead know not anything. This conflicts revelations in that some of the dead ask the Lord how long they must wait for justice (those that came out of the great tribulation.) A possible answer is that Ecclesiastes refers to the spiritually dead.
So if one were to surmise that it speaks of the spiritually dead, perhaps that would leave room for the spiritually living to incarnate again.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

This is the biblical "nail in the coffin" concerning reincarnation.
Hebrews 9: 27 states that is is appointed unto MEN to die once, and then judgement. Well what is a "men?" This is a biblically valid question given the nephilim and their descendants. These were obviously different from regular "men," Though they are named the "men of renown." The question becomes, is the difference enough that they could not be taken to be wholly "men" and thus does Hebrews 9:27 apply??

As for the 1st generation nephilim, Isaiah seems to tell us that those are just plain dead and gone never to rise.

Isaiah 26:12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us. 13 O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. 14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

This is taught as being a reference to the nephilim, but I am not sure why. I assume it is the "other lords" part, however, this is easily a reference to the Sons of God (Benei Ha Elohim) that caused the nephilim.

This is the concept that the spiritual component of a child is made, upon conception, out of the spiritual components of the parents and thus mirrors the biological process at least in a basic sense. A possible ramification of this concept is that reincarnation may not be required in order to result in the experiences that are often explained as past life memories. It is just as possible that these memories are being passed down spiritual lines as an artifact of being born from parents carrying anomalous spiritual make-up. To put this another way, instead of past-life memories, people may experience ancestral memory.

With the above information in mind, it is possible to arrive at a variety of kintypes. Earth's mythos are full of beings that fall somewhere in-between 'god" and man. Beings that resemble humankind and, according to said mythos, can interbreed with humankind. Examples include, but are not limited to, the Daoine Sidhe, Tuatha De Dannan, Alfar, and Nunnehi. it is possible that these beings found in the tales of man were/are real and it is possible that they owe their existence to rebellious divine beings that interbred with humankind. These beings could exist now, as otherkin, possibly via reincarnation or traducianism.

This same possibility can be applied to angels and demons. There is no way, in the christian paradigm, to rule out the possibility that some angels have been allowed to incarnate as humans in order to seek redemption or for some other reason. Additionally, the aprocryphal text of Enoch tells us that ancient Jewish tradition did in fact contain finite punishment for some angels. The point being that not all angels are either in heaven or cast out for all eternity. Also, as it is possible that some angels were long ago progenitors, traducianism may explain some memories of being an angel.

One angelic type in particular, the Seraphim, is sometimes described as being luminescent, serpentine, and winged. This body type resembles some ideas of the draconic. So here we have a possibility for something like dragonkin.

While the above covers a few kintypes, it in no way covers all. As the main thrust was Biblical Christianity, I refrained from using apocryphal texts to derive certain kintypes, though it can be done. The main book in question is ENoch. Enoch is included in the Ethiopian bible, but not the bibles mostly used in the West today. From Enoch is is possible to derive Vampirism. Another text, the Book of Giants (part of the Qumran find) has a very vague possibility of having a cause for Therian kintypes.

Even including this particular apocrypha and this particular dead sea text, not everyone's kintype can be explained. However, it was not the aim of the article to provide a bible based explanation for every kintype.

The nephilim are a biblically controversial topic. Many christians do not buy into the idea that Angels or some other divine beings bred with human women. They cite Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. From this it is concluded that the Sons of God were of the Godly line of Seth, whereas the ungodly daughters of "men' were the children of Cain. I reject this interpretation on the following grounds.

-Why is it just the sons of Seth and not the daughters of Seth? why aren't the sons of Cain doing anything? the gender separation is odd, and has no basis.
-Why does the union of one line of human being with another line of human beings produce the exceptional off spring described in the passage? it makes no sense, they would just be normal humans if it was just normal human union.
-There is no biblical precedent to state that all the Sons of Seth were godly while all the daughters of Cain were base.
-"Ben ha'Elohim" along with "Ben Eluim" are phrases that, in the context of the Old Testament manuscripts, are only used for divine beings. To arbitrarily assign a different meaning to that phrase does not hold water.

The flood and the conquest of Canaan are also things that can appear as obstacles to lines from the nephilim being passed on. However the flood falls away immediately as the relevant passage states "in those days, and also after..." indicating that these beings were in the earth after the days being discussed, which were the days of the flood. Secondly, a global flood, while a common interpretation, is an interpretation wrought with linguistic flaws. The original Hebrew phrase, "face of the whole earth (eretz) can also be found in the book of Daniel in a description of Alexanders Empire. As it was known that the Grecian empire did not cover the entire globe, it can easily be concluded that the flood narrative was never meant to describe a global event.

The conquest of Canaan appears to be an obstacle because it can be shown that God ordered the Israelites to utterly wipe out anything connected to the nephilim or their clans. These include the Anakim, Avim, Emim, Horites, Amorites, Rephaim and others. However it is an integral part of the story that the Israelites failed to do this. Nothing is ever said of where the survivors of the nephilim clans went or what happened to them.

Being otherkin is not neccessarily opposed by having christian faith. One can actually believe both with a large degree of harmony.

During my time in the otherkin scene I have most often read people that seem to hearken back to something past. The ren-faire look, swords, less urbanization etc. This is just one other thing that makes me feel like the weirdo among weirdos (don't take it personal, I'm just poking some fun).

I am a Sidhe that loves modern life. The first thing that comes to mind is Trance Music. Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Omni and Ira, Matt Darey...This mode of music gets a reaction from my silver star, it's very positive. It energizes. And along with this, i enjoy Urban nightlife.

For more....I enjoy fast little cars. I enjoy computer technology. I like to hone my skills with firearms.

To some this may make me seem less legit, but I don't think so at all. I think it is simply because I have no hardcore memories that weigh on me.

I had a previous marriage, she had better places to be.

Anyway, we have three kids. They are all technically half Navajo. The middle one, however, looks quite anglo. She has honey colored hair, light skin and grey eyes,.... with shovel shaped incisors though.

What's odd, for me, is that she has the same gold energy thing going on as I described in my last entry. Mine is silver, my daughter's is gold. How is this so if things pass down from aprents to children like I think is going on?

One possible clue is in the biology. Biologically speaking there is NO possible way for my daughter to express recessive traits like that unless they were carried by her mother. Now her mother looks the part. FBI (Full Blooded Indian) as the joke goes (it's on a movie called Thunderheart). Complete expression of dominant traits. Dark skin, hair and eyes. According to her grandmother, there was some white guy in their past though. This would be the most likely source for my daughters recessive expression on her mother's side.

So why is she not silver like me? yes, my perceptions could be flawed, but I am going to go with them for now. There is two possible things, IMO

1.) I can't rule out reincarnation. it would be only under specific conditions and could work hand in hand with traducianism, the idea that spiritual components come from the mother and father. It could be that certain spiritual components passed down allow for reincarnation...? That opens a can of worms though as it wouldn't be the spirit that reincarnates, but something else...we could call it the consciousness I guess.

2.) The spiritual components mirror the biological, or the other way around, in that some are dominant and some are recessive. In this case, I think Sidhe might be a recessive spiritual trait. If pitted against Dannan gold, it is the Dannan gold that expresses.

I lean towards #2 simply because I find it odd to have a dannan reincarnate directly following what would be sidhe reincarnate (me) if that is the explanation. Also, I tend to see a lot of physical paralleling or mirroring the spiritual.

Lastly, there are my other kids from that marriage. They look half Navajo and I can't get a bead on their resonance for some reason. I have no idea concerning this part of it all.

Years ago I asked YHVH to show me a fae land. I don't bring this up much because I had no repeated results of this like I did with other information i asked for.

I dreamt it. I think of it now and again because it was the most emotional dream I have ever had. It started out as some normal inane head trash, I ended up deep in some cavern where a passage went through a goofy looking statue of a fish. I know, one might be thinking Disney's Atlantis, I thought that too...

Anyway, once through that things changed. I became lucid, i walked out into daylight, only without a sun in the sky. odd formations of beige sedimentary rock, like limestone, created overlapped circular terraces that stepped down to what I think was an inland sea due to the more gentle lapping of the water. Thick green grass grey on their flat tops. However, stacks of the same rock stood out in the water, formations shaped by wave action. Off in the lake a thick mist stood, I got the impression it was a boundary, the edge of this place somehow. There was a wooden fort there. I explored it. It was old, hadn't been used in a long time. No one was here.

I went back down to the sea front and got all emotional. I felt so strongly that I didn't deserve to be there and was thanking God for showing me. And that was the end of the as far as I can recall.

Was this "underhill?"

I don't know. I have trouble with that idea. I believe in an underhill of sorts, in Hebrew it's "sheol." It's not generally a good place to be, though some parts are not especially bad in the literature that features descriptions of it. The descriptions don't really say much at all though. It's quite ambiguous.

So what was this place I saw? I am hesitant to conclude.

1. And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. 2. And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: 3. Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, 4. the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. 5. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood. 6. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.

The height of the giants in this is crazy. I can't take that seriously, it's either an exaggerating book or there is some ancient idiom at play that it would take more research than I can do right now to discern.

But since the basic idea is found in other texts and even in other cultures (sumerians) I tend to take that seriously, if no one could tell...:p.

Additionally, this describes a possible source for some vampirism perhaps even therianism?

...1. And Azâzêl taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals 〈of the earth〉 and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all colouring tinctures. 2. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they were led astray, and became corrupt in all their ways. Semjâzâ taught enchantments, and root-cuttings, Armârôs the resolving of enchantments, Barâqîjâl,

p. 36

[paragraph continues] (taught) astrology, Kôkabêl the constellations, Ezêqêêl the knowledge of the clouds, 〈Araqiêl the signs of the earth, Shamsiêl the signs of the sun〉, and Sariêl the course of the moon. And as men perished, they cried, and their cry went up to heaven . . .

The Treasures of the Danaans

Tuan mac Carell says they came to Ireland "out of heaven." This is embroidered in later tradition into a narrative telling how they sprang from four great cities, whose very names breathe of fairydom and romance - Falias, Gorias, Finias, and Murias. Here they learned science and craftsmanship from great sages one of whom was enthroned in each city.....

The Angels taught their children, and this went to their children's children etc....IMO.

...And to Gabriel said the Lord: 'Proceed against the bastards and the reprobates, and against the children of fornication: and destroy [the children of fornication and] the children of the Watchers from amongst men [and cause them to go forth]: send them one against the other that they may destroy each other in battle: for length of days shall they not have....5. And from henceforth you shall not ascend into heaven unto all eternity, and ⌈in bonds⌉ of the earth the decree has gone forth to bind you for all the days of the world. 6. And (that) previously you shall have seen the destruction of your beloved sons and ye shall have no pleasure in them, but they shall fall before you by the sword....

The Dannan arrive in Erin and battle the Fir Bolg. The Fomorians follow the Dannan to Erin. They battel, along with some Sidhe (according to oneversion), Balor (a giant?) is slain. The Dannan are driven from Erin, in battle, by men. IMO, the words given to Enoch seem to come true.

Yet, the Watchers had to remain on earth long enough to see this all occur. How long did it take? What did the watchers do during that time? think this could explain a lot.

....8. And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. 9. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men, ⌈⌈and⌉⌉ from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin; ⌈they shall be evil spirits on earth, and⌉ evil spirits shall they be called. [10. As for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.] 11. And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, ⌈but nevertheless hunger⌉ and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded ⌈from them⌉.

The Shedim of Sheol. Some scholars would prefer it read "in the earth" as the dwelling, meaning they seem to be able to come and go from Sheol. This explains a lot for me too, though it is a tangent. Here, IMO, I find the explanation for the seemingly pointless and destructive "demonic" activity I have seen in my life. I say this because i would expect a fallen angel to be more sophisticated, to have more of an agenda...and I think they do. Thus I think the other inane crap comes from these other things. Back to the main topic line though...

...2. And the women also of the angels who went astray shall become sirens.'

There's a lot in this apocryphal text that jumps at me. I wonder what manner of angels transgressed in this way. Different types? it doesn't say. perhaps some seraphim? I wonder because fiery serpents with wings is some draconic imagery, or at least could parallel that idea.

I think this stuff is pretty intriguing...

There are a lot of parallels here that can be drawn with European folklore such as finding Sidhe "wraths" by the sound of music coming from them and the sometimes helpfulness of some fae.

On top of that, the Nunnehi resonate similar to myself, like something in the realm of the cousin. I have no way to describe it like I do for Sidhe and others though.

Ecclesiastes 12:6 before the silver cord is snapped, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is shattered at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern, 7and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Barring the craziness that may or may not occur when i sleep and dream, I have had a grand total of ONE apparent "astral" jaunt. What makes me conclude this? The silver cord. However, I didn't know about the silver cord thing at the time. I thought it was something on the ground in this purple place.

Explanation: I had just woken up. I went down stairs and sat on the couch. I remember leaning my head back and then all was purple. I was in some purple place that looked the same in all directions. The only feature was this trail of silver light I thought was on the ground. I was puzzled by it because it ran straight through my chest. However, I assumed that, I didn't actually turn to see if it was behind me as well.

I was also able to catch a glimpse of myself somehow in this place. That was very strange. I had a hominid form ( it looked like me) that was also of silver light, transparent. The form seemed to manifest out of this brighter silver "star" if you will, located mid-torso.

This, is my non-physical form. So there is two parts to me, or two forms I have, one within another I think. To put it in simple terms, body and spirit.

What is interesting is...

1.) I found out later about the silver cord and it's relation to astral projection
2.) I found out later that there are other sidhekin who have discovered a silver star as part of their being and/or associate with silver light.

I have no idea what is up with the purple place.....

I think these visuals can help explain some of what I talked about in my opening post here in regards to the different way Sidhe and Tuatha energy comes across to me. I first noticed it in my own art work where if I tried to draw Tuatha, they HAD to have gold items, or it wasn't a Tuatha to me. Sidhe HAD to have silver items and/or silver light. The below pictures illustrate this i think. Now that you have read this, you know I didn't select the second one down for the hairdos......
blessedbran: (Default)
I was referred to this resource by another. I am here to network with more like her, more like me. So what am I talking about?

Well it all started years ago when I was a young lad working on a paleontological site between highschool semesters. I had embarked upon reading the Silmarillion. Taxing book that. Anyway. I was strangely drawn to the character Feanor. It was the oddest thing. Something from within just insisted that my nature was something more akin to what that guy was supposed to be. Fear not, I don’t mean literally. He was a symbol of something else.

Now I was raised in a church going, God fearing home. And truth be told, I had seen that kind of prayer, etc work on a number of strange things, so I still buy it. Thus, my approach to this odd inner insistence was to ask on high about it. I did this for a couple three years. Asking for dreams. I got them. I decided I was tricking myself by dwelling on the subject so much that it induced dreams. So I switched it. I asked to be kept from dreaming about it for 7 nights straight. Twice, on the seventh night, I dreamed about it. That was enough coincidence for me. I concluded there was something to all of this. But what exactly?

Toward the close of that segment, I had finally stumbled across the concept of the ‘otherkin” online. Neato. But that kind of turned into a drag. See I have NO for sure memories of my own. So when everyone else was sharing these nifty visions, I was just sorta on the bench. Ok maybe, I have one experience, but I can’t call it a memory. I’ll explain why later.

What I DO have, is a silver star thing in my torso, which I hear some other sidhe types report. I also have spent a long time taking note of some “energies” if you will. I found one variety in pictures of places like newgrange. I found it in stories containing the concept of sidhe. That was all ho hum until I found it in a couple people who later stated that they saw themselves as Sidhe. That tipped me off, again, that something was going on here. This ‘energy” I call ‘silver.’ I also have identified a “gold” one which I link to the Dannan. There’s a less sure blue and silver one I link to the ljos alfar. ALL of the above have a sort of underlying white light, for me, that sort of fuels the other colors.

And now we get to my “theory” (I use the term loosely here). As I have no memories, no visions of a fae land etc…how did I get here? After literally years, it one day dawned on me that the faith I had been raised in had a possible answer. I noticed the white light stuff in the concept of the nephilim, and in the idea of Angels. For those not familiar, Nephilim are believed by quite a few to have been the oversized off spring of Angels and humans.

Traducianism. This is the notion that when parents make a baby, the baby’s spirit is made at conception out of components from the mother and the father, like it mirrors the biological process. So here it goes. If I had a great great great etc pappy that was an ‘angel,’ how would he make babies? Maybe by taking on human form. Wait, wouldn’t that just be human biology then? Why the odd offspring? Well, perhaps traducianism would cause the weird offspring. And if those weird offspring made more offspring, they might pass on more strange spiritual components down the line. If some of these populations isolated, they may take on specific energetic attributes, or heck, that may even come from different angel types.

Some of these strange spiritual components might even be a sort of spiritual, ancestral memory, which is why I can’t conclude my experience was from a life MY spirit actually lived once.

And that is my ‘theory.’ I identify as ‘sidhe” and believe the origins to be in the mixing of divine (angel) and human spiritual components. I know it won’t jive with other people who have all these memories and stuff, but it’s the best I have as it wouldn’t be prudent of me to just believe just any memory I read online.

So that’s me, Part I

Part II is a recent occurence, relatively.

In the christian paradigm, a word of knowledge is information given by YHVH.

There is an exercise to practice knowing the “voice” of YHVH so that the person will recognize it. I have done this quite a few times.

It’s a simple request for information based on passages from the text. The verses are one about every hair on a person’s head numbered, (Luke 12), the pouring of spirit in the last days, (Joel 2m Acts 2) and asking in his name will be given to you (John 14)…and…ask in faith, nothing wavering (James 1.)

What we (my honey and I…and others from previously in my life) do is ask for tidbits about each other that we did not previously know. My answers mostly come in images. Usually a scene that includes accurate details, like a hat her dad used to have or another was a toy red car her brother and her would squabble over as kids.

Once I got “words.” It’s in quotes because I don’t hear anything. A name popped into my mind and the concept of stealing food. Turns out one of her friends by that name used to nick goodies from the Subway they worked at.

Yesterday and today I tried this on another subject, that being the sidhe. It took a lot of work. For one I had to quell my mind. My brain likes to constantly speculate on things, and flood me with images. If I have my eyes open and can remain focused on something, it’s not so bad, but when i try to sleep….errgh….but i digress.

I had to quell this. I had to let go of all I wanted as I wanted something true, not something from my mind to satisfy my desires. So when I started I went first to my subject of interest, the sidhe, but then stopped myself, and gave over to YHVH that he would tell me whatever he thought I should know. So of course, when got my mind cleared, the Sidhe came up. It was immediately different. It was like the information from the exercise above. It came, not from the buzzy stream of my mind, but from some deep well.

What were the sidhe? The wording of the answer was, “These same were the Sons of Lyr.”

Very interesting. Also, I got that they TOOK boats, and came to Ireland by way of Britain, meaning they originated somewhere else.

I had to quell my mind again, then i asked about the Dannan. I had previously had this idea that perhaps they were from the two Amorite cities spared by Joshua. The answer, “Not entirely Amorites.” That was confusing. I asked, what they were. The answer was, “They come out of the Sidhe” And I got “Intermingling” Then was reminded (as this took some time) “Not entirely Amorites.”

Seems I was being told that at some point Those Amorites mingled with the Sidhe, and the dannan were the result.

Lastly, I asked about Lyr. “Giant. Very Tall.” and thus of course Lyr would be dead. A shedim of sheol.

After this I was overcome with some emotional need to praise and thank YHVH. It got teary, also, I felt I needed to fast at least 24 hours, which i finished today. I asked more then, about myself specifically. How I came to be. There were no words now, just concepts. My mother, the summonings she did as a teenager and the idea of bloodline.

I am not sure what it means, I will be praying and fasting on this likely later. I am worried though. My mother was, for lack of a better word, afflicted with a spirit for years. It got to her when she did summonings. What worries me is that was the very shedim of sheol, and that is part of how I am sidhe. I am worried that this thing may have been with her when she became pregnant with me, and that is where the sidheness came from, coupled with a bloodline.

it’s not a good feeling really, and it may not be a good thing. But i wanted to know.

Finally, I am here bacause I want to network with other Sidhe, to put it simply.
